Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The tool only needs six things: your gender, birth date, how you'd rate your health, whether you use tobacco, how much coverage you want, and your preferred term. That gives carriers what they need to quote you. Your name, address, and full health history only come up if you decide to apply.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The prices shown are what each carrier quotes for your chosen health level and coverage. Underwriting may confirm your health tier or shift you to another one, which moves the rate. These are estimates meant for comparing across carriers, not binding guarantees or coverage offers.

What happens when I click Apply?

You move to a secure application pre-filled with your information, running on the carriers' platform and managed by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129). You can halt and return whenever you wish, and all signatures are electronic. Submitting doesn't lock you in to anything.

Will I need a medical exam?

It hinges on the carrier, how much you want, and your health background. Most carriers now give instant decisions for eligible applicants without exams. Each quote tells you if that carrier will require an exam, might ask for one, or doesn't need one for that product.

Is a longer term better?

Pick a term covering the years when loved ones would hurt if you're gone—remaining mortgage payments, kids still in school, company debts. Longer terms cost more monthly but shield you for extra years. The tool shows all of them: 10, 15, 20, 25, and 30 years.

Does this site sell my information?

No way. The quote tool never asks for contact information, we don't trade or share your information, and our measurement doesn't rely on cookies. The privacy page lays out the whole picture of what we track and how we use it.
